The Past Governors of Gahanna, nominated Brother Tony for this award in June 2008, being nominated by the Lodge, Brother Tony is in the running for International Moose of the Year to be awarded at the Moose International Convention in May 2009 in Chicago.
In part, Brother Tony's nomination was as follows;
....Since joining the Lodge in late 2006, our nominee has instilled in all around him the value of his Moose Membership and the value of the Moose Fraternity. A member of the Moose Legion, Chairman of the Lodge Moose Legion Committee, Elected Lodge Officer, and New Member Sponsor. Additionally we want to recognize his tireless contribution of time and effort to the betterment, upgrade and repairs of our Lodge Home, the Membership and Officers of his lodge would like to convey our gratitude for everything he has done. Starting with the new patio roof, to the new wall in the kitchen, the reorganization and shelving added to the basement and the upgrade and expansion of the museum. Not to mention the countless hours of help with any committee function or meal.
His dedication has not gone unnoticed, not only here at our lodge but all the way to our Children at Mooseheart. Every single one of our children in the Georgia Home knows in their heart of hearts of his dedication and love for each and every one of them.
We would like to show our sincere appreciation for everything he does. His efforts inspire us all and bring great credit to him, his Lodge and to the entire Moose International fraternity....
