Ryan Genton (right) receives Rookie of the Year award from Governor Ross Miller At the Lodge Meeting on December 17, 2008, Brother Ryan Genton was presented with a Certificate from Moose International recognizing him as the Gahanna Moose 2463 Rookie of the Year for 2008-2009

The Board of Officers of Gahanna, nominated Brother Ryan for this award in June 2008, being nominated by the Lodge, Brother Ryan is in the running for International Rookie of the Year to be awarded at the Moose International Convention in May 2009 in Chicago.

In part, Brother Ryan's nomination was as follows;

....Since joining the order in 2007, this brother has hit the ground running. He has joined the Moose Legion Degree of Service and is very active on the Moose Legion Committee, the Family Committee and the Building Maintenance/Improvement Committee. He has signed 4 new members in this short time and serves as an appointed lodge officer. We cannot think of a better applicant for Rookie of the Year........
